DL-ALPHA-TOCOPHEROL

DL-ALPHA-TOCOPHEROL is a practically odorless, clear, viscous oil with 97.0-102.0% content of all-rac-a-tocopherol. It is insoluble in water but soluble in ethanol and miscible with chloroform, acetone, ether, and vegetable oils. DL-ALPHA-TOCOPHEROL is sensitive to air and light and has a storage life of 24 months below 25°C. It is used as a powerful lipid-soluble antioxidant in the food industry, providing protection to lipids in foods from oxidation.
