Description

VISCOBYK additives from BYK are viscosity modifiers for PVC plastisols. The precise adjustment of the viscosity in every single process step is essential in PVC plastisol applications. In this way, a consistent processing and consistent product quality are ensured. This can be achieved using the VISCOBYK viscosity modifiers. Some VISCOBYK additives reduce the viscosity in the liquid phase of the plastisol. Others are adsorbed on the particle surfaces, decreasing the attraction forces between the particles, and preventing re-agglomeration. This permits an easier movement of the particles and stabilizes the viscosity and the storage behavior of the entire system.
