Carbomer Interpolymer Type A. Carbomer homopolymers or copolymers that contain a block copolymer of polyethylene glycol and long chain alkyl acid ester. Easy to disperse. Thickener and rheology modifier. Short Flow. Bioadhesive, Mucoadhesive agent. Suspension and emulsion stabilizer. Recommended for Semisolids & gels. Suitable for Topical drug delivery, Ophthalmic drug delivery applications. Polymerization solvents are Cosolvent mixture of ethyl acetate and cyclohexane (Class II&III). Recommended concentration in Topical 0.5-3 wt%.
