EMADOX D 525

EMADOX®D525 is mainly recommended for: in-can protection for metal packaging filled with water based formulations (paints and varnishes, but also cleaning products) flash-rust protection of water based decorative coatings based on acrylic dispersions, alkyd emulsions. EMADOX®D525 must be added preferentially in the letdown, before the rheological agents. The use in post-addition is also a possible option. The use levels are: typically, around 1% based on the total weight for in-can protection 1.5 to 2% based on the total weight for flash-rust protection There is no advantage to use higher levels. On the contrary, a too high dosage can increase the water sensitivity of the dry film.
