SILRES BS 1701 SQ

SILRES BS 1701 SQ is a mixture of octyltriethoxysilanes isomers, with iso-octyltriethoxysilane as the main component. It is used in undiluted form for the hydrophobic priming and impregnation of concrete and reinforced concrete. SILRES BS 1701 SQ provides excellent penetration and no solvents, making it environmentally compatible and suitable for applications where low volatility is required. Treated materials will have dramatic reduction in chloride and water absorption, no loss in breathability and improved durability against freeze-thaw de-icing stress. It also provides good adhesion for paints and retains very high water-vapor permeability. SILRES BS 1701 SQ reacts with atmospheric moisture and/or the water in the building material's pores, eliminating alcohol. The active thus substance formed greatly reduces the absorbency in the active zone, but without blocking any pores or capillaries.
